Soumyajit Chowdhury, an ordinary guy with an extraordinary vision, has emerged in the world of music with the release of his 3 new singles of his upcoming album “Eternal Residue”. His stylistic blend of different genres and his theatrical storytelling is an overwhelming success among fans worldwide.

Establishing himself as a fusion artist, his goal to combine the music of different genres, cultures, and eras into a single package with a visual storytelling aspect has paid off and is now dominating the charts for the past 3 months since its initial release on January 10, 2027.

His songs are on repeat in radio channels and have secured commendable spots in established playlists of Spotify, Apple Music, and have topped the charts in various sections of other audio streaming platforms. His YouTube channel is also a big success, especially the live studio performance of his song, ‘Eternal Residue’ which has generated more than 3 million views within a span of 6 months.

When asked in an interview with MusicZone magazine, about his journey and how he started,

He says, “ I was very much inspired by music at an early age, and it’s hard not to because we live in a world surrounded by music. I started as a guitar player with a fixation on songwriting and composition. In the pursuit of developing my sound, I worked jobs and did freelance gigs to support myself financially.

On being asked about his success mantra he states, “To be honest, this journey, supposedly filled with hardships and battles you never thought you’d fight, taught me that giving up was never an option. Also, we live in a society where most people are blindly running the rat race, so, when you go ahead and try something different and fail at first, in more ways than one, they try to bring you down. If you can overcome that, and if you really love what you do, only you can stop yourself from being successful. And as far as hard work goes, to me, playing music and continuous exploring was(is) my juice, so, it never felt like work, it was all the joy and the excitement.”

He also elaborates by saying, “Fail away, that’s the only way you can overcome your fears, face challenges, thrive, and rise above the self-doubts and negativity shadowing this world.”

His words resonate with the ups and downs of his career graph. From being an average sales employee to being termed as a cheap jingle writer, a failed songwriter, etc, he has had his fair share of challenges, but his unending drive and persistence paid off and facilitated his reach thus far.

Moreover, his polished musical offerings took me (along with many others) on an emotional roller coaster of a journey filled with surprises back and forth, enough to keep me hooked and engaged in anticipation of what comes next. His songs speak volumes in terms of uniqueness and authenticity and almost have a cinematic essence instilled in them.

At this point, it is needless to say that he has become a significant source of inspiration for all the aspiring music enthusiasts and listeners out there, and we all are eagerly waiting for the remaining songs of his album “Eternal Residue” to surface and break barriers in this ever-expanding world of music.
